Chiipin is provided by C1 Tech, Ontario, Canada. By using the app you agree to these terms.
What Chiipin is
A record-keeping tool. It tracks who paid for what and works out what each person owes. It does not move money. Marking something settled records that you agreed it was settled — actually paying each other happens outside the app, however you normally do it.
Accuracy
The numbers are only as good as what goes in. Receipt scanning in particular is approximate: it misreads amounts, misses lines, and gets confused by unusual layouts, which is why the app asks you to check the result. Always confirm the figures before relying on them. We are not responsible for disagreements or losses arising from incorrect amounts, whether typed, scanned, or split wrongly.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the accuracy of what you record about other people. Do not use Chiipin to harass anyone or to record information you have no right to hold.
Sharing with other people
Anyone holding a group's invite link or code can join that group and see its bills. Treat invites like a key: share them only with people you mean to include, and regenerate a group's invite if one gets out.
Chiipin Pro
Pro is a subscription billed through your Apple ID. It renews automatically until cancelled, and you cancel it in your Apple account settings rather than here. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. If a subscription lapses, your data stays — Pro features stop, but nothing you recorded is deleted, and you can still edit and remove what you already set up.
Availability
We do not promise uninterrupted service. The app may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can stop using Chiipin at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or break these terms.
Liability
Chiipin is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
