Shared bills, for iPhone

Split the bill. Split the rent.

Chiipin keeps track of who paid for what — the dinner you split tonight, and the rent and utilities that come back every month.

Chiipin's home screen: a net balance of +$77, $131 owed to you and $54 owed by you, above rent, electricity and internet listed by due date.

Line by line

Every line goes to the person who ordered it.

Take a photo of the receipt and Chiipin reads it right on your phone. The photo never leaves it. Assign each item to whoever had it; tax and tip follow along in proportion, so nobody ends up paying for someone else's meal.

Household

The bills that come back every month.

Rent, electricity, internet — set them once with a due date and a share, and Chiipin adds them for you each month. Everyone in the household can see what's due this month, what's been paid, and who still owes their part.

Groups

A trip, a shared apartment, a weekly dinner.

Each group keeps its own running balance and its own bills, so the ski weekend never gets tangled up with the weekly groceries. Anyone in the group can add a bill — including one somebody else paid for.

Settling up

Everyone settles in the fewest payments.

Four people, a dozen bills, and it still comes down to a short list of transfers. Chiipin works out which ones clear everyone, and marks them off once you both confirm.

Chiipin's settlements screen: each person's balance, and a single suggested payment that clears what you owe.

How a dinner — or a whole month — ends up settled

  1. 01Add the bill

Scan the receipt, type the total, or set a bill to come back every month. Say who paid — it doesn't have to be you.

  2. 02Say who's sharing it

Split it evenly, by item, by share or by exact amounts. Leave out whoever wasn't there — or, for a household, whoever wasn't living there that month.

  3. 03Settle when you like

Balances stay until someone pays. You both confirm, and it's cleared.

No ads, and we never sell your data. What you and your friends owe each other stays between you.
