Chiipin is an iPhone and iPad app for splitting the bill with friends and sharing the costs of a home, from rent and utilities to what the house keeps in stock.

Chiipin splits two kinds of money: the dinner you just paid for, and the bills that come back every month. Bills split evenly, by exact amounts or item by item, with tax and tip worked out properly, and a receipt photo fills the bill in. For people who share a home, rent and utilities repeat each month and split by who actually lived there, shared storage tracks what is running low, and settling up takes the fewest payments possible. Splitting bills is free; Chiipin Pro adds unlimited recurring bills, more than one household, reports and export.

Rent split by who actually lived there

A household keeps rent, utilities and the other bills that come back every month. A month someone was away is a month they do not pay for, and whoever moves out gets a statement of what they owe.

One subscription covers the household

When a household’s admin has Chiipin Pro, everyone in that household gets its Pro features. Housemates do not each need to subscribe.

Receipts read by Apple Intelligence

On iOS 27, the receipt photo goes to Apple’s on-device Foundation Models, which read the items, tax and tip directly. A receipt the device cannot manage goes to Private Cloud Compute, which keeps nothing. The photo never reaches Chiipin’s servers.

Built into the system

“Add a bill in Chiipin” works with Siri, and widgets on the Home Screen and Lock Screen and a Control Center button start a new bill without opening the app.
